Made in Italy. Anyone have more information about the framebuilder?

The color scheme looks like an 80's Bernard Hinault look. Probably isn't though.
ReplyDeleteDiego Vitali is an almost unknown italian frame builder. His workshop was placed close to Ravenna (Emilia Romagna) in the north-east of Italy.
ReplyDeleteIn the past he was a mechanic and framebuilder of Felice Gimondi from '68 to '73.
He also built a lot of frames for Vicini and other bigger italian Brands and he was really good in TIG welding.
Unfortunatly he died a few month ago at the age of 89.
