Independent Scottish bike-manufacturer Shand was commissioned by Sir Chris Hoy to create a bespoke hand-built steel keirin bike to commemorate Sir Chris' seven Olympic medals. The frameset is a mix of Columbus Max and Reynolds. Hoy's love of the Japanese Keirin was the genesis of this bike
and his name in Japanese on the top tube is both out of respect and
reference to the importance of the Keirin in his career.
